Membership
Join your Lykkå community by becoming a member today.
Membership is a way to step into community intentionally in whatever capacity you can right now, while contributing to work that expands the possibilities and understanding of shared living, neighborhood building and mutual care.
As a member, you join a growing network of diverse people reimagining home, family, and daily life. You gain access to carefully held spaces and activities, shared resources, and meaningful pathways for building trust, belonging, and ways of living well together on our streets and in our homes
Membership is both an invitation and a commitment: to build your village while contributing to a wider collective effort.
By becoming a member of Lykkå Cohabitation, you access support to:
-
build your local village in your neighborhood
-
clarify your co-living vision
-
find the right people
-
start or join a home-sharing, co-living, or co-housing project

Access to, and participation in, a growing collection of shared tools and resources, including co-living guides, preparation support, group agreements, and practices that help prevent conflict and support healthy community culture. -
Monthly member newsletter
Updates on events, opportunities, tools, and stories from across the Lykkå ecosystem, including our community, programs, and partners along with curated inspiration and resources from the wider community-building and co-housing landscape.
Membership model
For us access and equity mean more than treating everyone the same.
Access means making sure you feel safe and able to participate, whether that’s through skills, affordability, location, language, timing, energy or the way spaces are designed and held.
Equity means recognizing that people arrive with different histories, resources, and barriers, and responding with care and flexibility so everyone has a real chance to belong and benefit. This can mean adjusting costs, offering different entry points, or shaping spaces that are culturally and socially welcoming.
Our membership model reflects this belief. People contribute according to their capacity, and together we help make participation possible for those who might otherwise be excluded.
All membership levels are valued equally.
Each tier reflects a different capacity to contribute to the shared work of building community.
Individuals often join as Supporters or Contributors.
Families and households often choose Contributor or Builder levels.
Organizations and partners are invited to join as Builders or Stewards.
Choose the level that feels right for you or your organization, based on your connection to this work and what you’re able to offer right now both in heart and capacity. Memberships can be changed at any time.
* This membership does not automatically grant voting rights. (However, at the end of each year, community members who have been actively engaged are invited to join our voting membership, which plays an active role in the governance of our community land trust.)
